We are two homeschool moms who couldn’t find the program we were looking for...so we created it! We value consistent community for our children, and unique opportunities for learning outside of the traditional school model. We want our kids to have a custom education that meets their individual needs and learning styles. We want to help other families thrive in their homeschooling journey!
MEET RONA
Rona is a mom of 3 boys! She graduated from Michigan State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, and a minor in Sociology. Continuing at MSU, she earned her Master’s degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations. Rona worked at Ford Motor Company before becoming a mom, where she served in a variety of roles ranging from union negotiations to learning and development. Rona is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Facilitator and enjoys leveraging her knowledge of how personality traits lead to differences in working and learning together!
Since having her children, Rona has worked at Southeast Michigan Forest School, where she met Sarah! When not at Wonder, Rona loves spending time with her boys outside, learning about natural medicine, and baking!
MEET SARAH
Sarah graduated from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion with a focus in Child and Adolescent Health Education. After founding Southeast Michigan Forest School, she has since become certified as a Level 3 Nature Based Educator through the Association for Nature Based Education and as a Forest School Therapist through the Cedarsong Way. She is passionate about helping all kids thrive in their unique learning styles and abilities!
Sarah is a mom of two girls and loves spending her days with them! She enjoys hiking, gardening with native plants, and being involved in her church community.
